Is the postal strike justified?
what do you think makes it right or wrong for them to strike?
A postal strike is never welcomed. The postal service is one of the most essential services related to our everyday life. Like water and electricity services, postal services are also keep our life moving.
A postal strike completely disrupts the communication system and movement of the important documents including life saving drugs or an employment offer letter to candidate. What may happen when a live saving drug not made available to a patient? or what may happen when a candidate receives his employment letter much later and fails to report his office. These are only two example, you may say, our modern civilization is completely driven by the postal system.
I don't discourage those people who call a strike. They might have some issues which the respective authorities are not looking into. But, a strike may not be a meaning solution to it. Meeting the respective government department and make the authority understand the problem and hence resolving those issue may certainly help everyone, particularly the common people like you, me, and million others....
Yes Why? because the postal service needs to upgrade its services to compete with today"s changes. The postal service has to roll with the changing times or else, the constitutional requirment that it remain in service should be rescended.
I don't think that strikes should ever be justified. They seem like a selfish way of the people demanding more. There has to be more civil and quick ways to solve problems.
Uniformed me, has to ask , what strike?
The postal service is a service, but with UPS, Fed X and online banking and bill paying services, it is " needed" or depended upon by a relative few.
Those few are entiltled to the services that their tax dollars support.
