Do you think the current administration has done anything to improve the economy or job market?

I'm going to be generous and say they may have in good faith tried but have failed miserably due to the use of Democrat policies that simply do NOT work. Couple those policies with Obama's ideology and you have exactly what we have now - a financially S.U.B.A.R.red economy and administration.

The Federal Government is doing what it has always done: throwing money and ideas at real social issues with no effect, albeit with good intention. We created the Department of Energy to get us away from foreign oil, which we now consume more of. We created the Department of Education to bring up test scores, which continue to fall. I'm sure they are trying, but will continue to fail in stunning fashion.

First understand that this economic melt down has not occurred in the last 10 years but has been building for over 60 years.

As to the Obama administration specifically they have done almost everything wrong and virtually nothing right, same for Bush and the others before him.
Obama’s grand give away, the so called “Stimulus” threw money into the wind with no real control and those in a position to do so stole it, mostly Wall Street.
The money that went to states was used almost entirely to prop up public sector jobs that contribute nothing to the economy and in fact are a double negative.
Almost no private sector, contributing, jobs were created and many of those that were came at ridiculous cost, a $50k per year job costing as much as $700k.
QE2 printed billions of dollars that was then bought up by the Federal Reserve with our own money. QE3 will kick in, in August and do the same. This doesn’t create wealth, only inflation and a devaluated dollar.
Obama has not gotten us out of the unwinnable wars and now has joined another, Libya. He claims we don’t have any troops on the ground, well sort of. We are spending $120 million per day just to be there and we have fired hundreds of missiles at a cost of $1.5 Million each!
