    If you found someone who was scamming the Medicare system by taking Medicaid illegally

    would you turn them in?

    In a heartbeat......This is the major problem with our system. Too many people believe society "owes" them and they do not hesitate to "play" the system. I'm tired of paying for my family and these bottom feeders as well. If we want to put fairness back into the system......cut out the scammers!!!!

    I know at least four situations like this;  I am really close to doing it.  I think doing it will make me nervous that the ones I turned in would come to "get me".  They don;t know I am thinking of this.

    How would you possibly know someone was both taking Medicaid and was doing so illegally? Unless you have pretty detailed knowledge of a person's life and their family, I don't see how you would know that. It seems to me that the vast majority of Medicare fraud is from health-care providers (or alleged health-care providers), medical equipment suppliers, and organized crime.

    So, if it is ordinary people, and you are simply suspicious, I'd say leave them alone. If it is a 'health-care provider' and they speak Russian, well then I'd say report them at your own risk.

    Yes, I would.  People who do this are the very reason why these programs are having financial problems.  When they scam Medicare and Medicaid, they actually are lessening the level of care for people  who really need such programs.
