If women are physically inferior to men, why are they being paced in combat rolls?
There is great condemnation of Ray Rice because he hit a woman. A man should never hit a woman, even if attacked by one. Women are smaller and physically inferior and therefore protected by society. Women are qualified for combat, as police officers, fire fighters, boxing and the marshal arts. Women are equal to men. Women are not equal to men, Women are protected. How do we protect women in combat against such male aggression?
I will disregard part of your question and simply follow up with common sense. In my opinion if you hit someone it should come as no surprise if you are hit back. With that said, why in the world would someone hit someone back that was half their size? When my 2 sons fight I make it clear to my oldest that hitting his much smaller brother back is unfair due to the size difference, and instead he should come tell me. That doesn't make it okay that the smaller of the two hit, but it is ignorant to think you need to defend yourself from not life threatening actions from someone less than half of your size. It has nothing to do with a woman being inferior and everything to do with the common sense that someone should not hit someone so much smaller than they are.
peeples-- Disregard anything you like. If Rice had hit a man the size of his wife, would there be this outrage?
Not likely. No because our society teaches don't hit women instead of just don't hit, which is the more appropriate to be taught. I'm not disagreeing with you on that aspect, just that it isn't logical to defend someone hitting someone half the size.
peeples--That is not the issue, is it? We, as a society, are promoting an equality of convenience. This is hypocritical, a contradiction and enormously harmful to young men, who are posed w/ the problem of equal only upon convenience of the woman.
No one says that equality means identical people. Men are in many ways discriminated against now in favor of superiority to women, but how is saying not to hit someone smaller than you harmful to a man? Smaller shouldn't equal less equality.
peeples--Nothing was said about identical people, but rather identical equality. Are you saying that women are superior to men? I would be interested in hearing that. I, think overall you have missed the point or avoiding it.
I wasn't saying women were superior, I was agreeing with you. In many ways women are treated superior to men. However you are failing to answer my ?, How is telling men they shouldn't hit someone half their size wrong?
peeples--Your question, in my life of 70years+, is a given for males, except when the smaller has a small man syndrome.
Sometimes stupid people can't be reasoned with. Where is this superior mindset going & effect on society?
You do not. If they want fair treatment that men have, then they must do the same jobs as men do. I in NO WAY condone ever striking a woman but if faced against one in combat it comes down to you or her. I'm afraid it would be her. Male or female, they are still the enemy fighting against the United States. Be careful what you ask for!
JT--If women are equal to men than what would be the difference in striking a woman?
That is something that just should be a part of a man's morals CJ.
JT
Equality is equality--.or not? Is equality equal, but held to a lower standard by convenience? Should women be held to the same degree of moral conduct?
Read my last sentence CJ. Equality is separate from down right violence. Where would we be if everyone who disagrees hit one another? This is apples and oranges.
You don't. It is an idealized view of feminism that touts the belief men and women are created the same in every way. If we were the very same in physical capabilities we would not have see the kind of widespread abuse of women in fundamentalist religious societies. Nature created men and women complementary of each other; and when the day comes all of us are committed to recognize and respect our complementary differences, the world will be a much happier place.

Why is it that men can have sex with as many women as they want and are considered all high and mighty but women are sluts if they do it?

Hi, folks, the link that I provide is from an article written by Patrick Buchanan, not one of my favorite guys. He is blunt in his opinion and I think just as wrong. http://news.yahoo.com/pentagons-surrend … 00599.html

If society expects equality, why do women still want men to pursue them?
