it is possible to win the war in Afganistan without the Taliban?
I think the Us will not win the war in Afganistan without the Taliban. Talibans are also Afgans So the Us cannot totally wipe out the taliban. Taliban should also be part of the Afgan Government cos they where the very one that sent the Russians packing from Afganistan. Taliban may be called terorist or what not, but I think it is still possible to educate them to change their relgious views with the world. Killing all the Taliban is not gonna give us peace in Afganistan.
Win what? The Booby Prize. Get out now. There is nothing we can do, to do nation building on a pile of rock and people who love to murder each other.
there is never a true winner in any war death visits all sides
even the inosent.
No one wants to kill all the Taliban. There is no war that is won. Objectives can be met, but there is no winning in a war; only devastation.

With the news that a further 8 UK service personnel have died in Afghanistan in the last 24 hours it means that deaths in this war now exceed those due to the Iraq conflict. As a result calls are increasing for the troops to be pulled out. What are your views on the matter?

Who will win if there is a war between India and Pakistan.Should there be a war for Kashmir, there seems to be no end for talks going on like in a ping pong game with out a end.Only practice - no game.

Firstly, let me point out that I am a full supporter of the continued efforts in Afghanistan. Whilst I am still slightly cynical of the possible underlying motives, there can be no doubt that the country under Taliban rule was one which seriously oppressed its people and was (and still is) a school...
