I wasn't crazy about any candidate, but I was somehow taught growing up that the president deserves respect not matter whether or not we agree with him/her. Not sure where I learned that, considering neither one of my parents are political in any way. So, I do try to look for things to be respected or admired about the person in office even if I do not particularly like that person or care for his/her politics. In Trump's case, he has good business skills. Maybe he can make good on that promise to fix the economy so that it is headed out of debt. And so far,he seems to be heeding the advice of people way more experienced than he in the political world when dealing with certain aspects of the job. If he learns quickly, he may just surprise us all. Here's to hoping, right?

It would appear that Donald Trump is an excellent father; a trait very important to me and to society.
He has placed America First in his objectives and in his speeches. This, for the President of the United States, should be a given, but, sadly for Barack Obama and Clinton, who was following  in his foot steps and a globalist political philosophy America seemed to be an after-thought and second to some form of socialist thinking.
That Donald Trump has placed America First is all the reason I would need to vote for him, but that he is a loved father, a success in business and unabashed in both of these categories speaks well to the idea of what an American and America should aspire to.

I'd only suggest a good father loves his children's mother.  How many have there been?

President Elect Trump latched on to the desires of so many voters who have felt ignored and taken for granted. He knew how to get free headlines to further his goals, and his choice of Mike Pence showed wisdom.  He appears to be working to unite Americans and keep his campaign promises.
