Do we have a real commitment to free speech?

Yes, we do. That's why organizations like the WBBC can say and protest as they please, legally.
However, we must all live with the consequences of our actions, and sometimes those descisions lead to an angry serviceman flooring someone.

Personally, as a member of a very military family, I hope he broke something in that Westboro "protester." If that's wrong to say, then baby, I don't wanna be right.

You think violence should be used against people you don't like?

Woe, thou doth place a fear in my heart at my brutish ways.... But then again, I can't be farced.
XD ... Sorry, I'm feeling snarky...

Real freedom of speech should not imply consequences! If it does it means that our freedom is limited!

      Why do you strawman so?

You shouldn't be lynched for unpopular views; I never claimed an individual should be free from any and all consequences of the speech.  I guess you could say I am taking a more humane point of view.
