In the most recent ABC News survey (released on May 8, 2010):
49% trust OBAMA
37% trust Democratic Congressional leaders
32% trust Republicans
Republicans still have that infamous reputation as "the Party of 'No'". The GOP is in 3rd place right now on this issue and even though the president's approval on this issue is below 50%, the President is still in a pretty good position.
Anybody who paid attention last week saw thatt he GOP tried desparately to PREVENT financial reform from coming up for discussion and debate in the Senate. I'm not saying they voted against the version that was the final proposal. They refesed to even talk about financial reform.
After repeated attempts by Democrats in the Senate to bring up the legislation, the GOP realized that they were confirming the 'lay-down-on-the-tracks perception that voters have of the GOP and are now debating.
The party of no ( Republicans ) were fighting to include in the legislation Fannie, Freddie and the Goldman Sachs and George Soros Hedge Funds in protecting the American people from a future bail out. Remember the Democrats wanted a $50 BILLION sludge fund to cover future bailouts and banks would be charged fees to cover future bailouts.
The dog and pony show in congress with Goldman Sachs is a farce.
By the way, check out how much Fannie ,Freddie, Goldman Sachs ( REPORTED $33 million ) and George Soros gave to candidate Obama and the Dem candidates in the election campaign. I'm still trying to figure out why the Unions ( SEIU, AFL-CIO ) can contribute $ 40 million+ and not break the law.
The Taft Hartley labor laws prohibit unions from making contributions to candidates in federal elections. I guess it must be OK since both parties excepted the money ( laws are not for politicians ).
THE ABC VIDEO WAS DATED 3/7/10 , A LIITLE OUT DATED ?
Confidence in politicians to recognize the right for healthcare reform
JUST WONDERING WHAT IT WOULD BE TODAY maybe in a not so biased poll.
OBAMA is owned by the Unions (SEIU AND AFL-CIO ), GEORGE SOROS , GOLDMAN SACHS and other lobbyist groups in Washington.
The people in charge of running the country are surrounded by communist ,marxist and radical socialist groups.
If you missed the Glen Beck show on Fox News today (5/11/10 ), try not to miss his expose of the government and other related issues on wed.
