I was raised in Santa Cruz County, California, where I developed a life-long love for the land and particularly the coast. The best times of my childhood featured visits to caves, deserts, forests, and beaches.

My passions include hiking, camping, driving, reading, writing, gardening, antiquing, archeology (Egyptians, Hittites, Mayans, bog bodies...), history, coastal exploration, poetry, art, wide-ranging conversations, visiting new places, trying out new gear, sharing new experiences, challenging myself.

Formerly obese, I now enjoy an active life, and at 47, take on physical activities I would have been daunted by 20 years ago.

My skills include gardening, massage (certified in Swedish and Shiatsu), cooking, care for antique furniture, floral design, minor fix-it projects, and various tasks involved in the care and upkeep of house and grounds. I am seeking a property caretaking position within an hour of the coast.
