Howdy! I live in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, and though I've stared down coyotes and handled snakes, I don't own a horse.

But I do have a $20,000 attitude!

I'm a literate wannabe cowgirl from the country-western town of Wickenburg, Arizona, where I've explored the geography, hunted for gold nuggets, and drank the liar water of the upside down Hassayampa river. 

As a former storytime presenter for my local library, I love children's literature, especially children's picture books. I've written numerous articles sharing tips and experiences from my storytelling days. With a degree in English literature, I also review books for grown-ups. 

I continue to tell stories at home to my young children, and have shared a yarn or two on HubPages, but most of what I write is 100% true. Especially my hubs about pregnancy!

I've been privy to the local arts scene for many years, given to my Hubbie's unique vocation. He's a museum registrar for fine art museums and we've met some fascinating artists from all over the American West at museum events.

We enjoy taking road trips. Some of my hubs feature photos of the spectacular scenery I've photographed in Oregon, Arizona, and California.
