Exactly what happens when somebody "Votes a Hub UP" or "Votes a Hub Down" at the bottom of a Hub?
Is there a place to go to see the count of these votes or do they simply influence either the hub or karma score or both without any real knowledge as to how many people voted you up or down?
I haven't discovered any way to see how many up/down votes a hub has been given. I think it's more for the staff at HubPages than it is the users. I would guess that it factors into hubscore, both for that particular hub and the author. It is also probably a means of flagging inappropriate, offensive, or poorly written hubs, which they can take action to correct. We may one day be able to see how many 'up' votes we've gotten, but I doubt the 'down' votes will ever be displayed (for the same reason that there is no 'dislike' button on facebook). It just promotes negativity in a community that should stay positive.
Once upon a Hub... the up and down votes used to be viewable. (this was a few years ago when they were first added as a feature) And instantly, everyone became obsessed about them, especially down votes. People wanted to know just who was voting them down.
And thus, admin decided to make that info not viewable, and have since said that it's just a tiny fraction of what goes into a HubScore calculation.
So, to go back to your original question... very little happens when someone votes a Hub up or down.
If you have not asked this question, I would have. Thanks! I now get what "vote up" or "vote down" are...

I was shocked this morning that despite posting a new hub last night my hub profile score had dropped from 96 down to 88. I posted in Hubber's Hangout and it turns out that I am not alone because other hubbers have their scores going down and some are reporting by a figure of at least 8 same as...

Dear HubTeam:I know there have been a few forum threads about this topic, but hear me out please. By the way, this thread refers to the rating down of hubs, not flagging. I have no problem with the flagging feature and see it as a necessary evil. Even if someone misuses it, they have to go through...

What exactly happens when your Hubscore falls below 85?I have read some things about links in hubs becoming "no-follow" once you go below 85. What exactly does this mean and how does it affect traffic?

This is what I have observed with my hubscore. After publishing a hub and leaving comments on other hubs, I get lots of traffic but the hubscore falls by the hour. When I stay away from HubPages for a few days, and the traffic drops to nothing, the hubscore starts to climb and reaches an all-time...
