Lukewarm Christians- Sink or Swim

It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:11-15

You say you are a Christian- yet don't follow God. You may not even seek God or even give time to worship him. The word of God is for correction and tells us what pleases God and what does not. We are not to grieve God's spirit- the Holy Spirit in any way. We must not break fellowship with God by our lack of consistency, therefore lack of trust, resulting in unbelief.When we are not in the will of God, we are not safe.

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15-16

You know I have been what you call lukewarm before. I had accepted Jesus as my Lord and was refusing to do as God wanted. I was refusing to let God change me for the better. I refused to give God the burdens I had. I wasn't obeying God by turning away from sin. After all true repentance goes much deeper than just confessing your sins to God and receiving forgiveness because of Jesus sacrifice to redeem us from sin. It means to stop the sin that's harming you in exchange for the grace, mercy & plan of God- for your life. God doesn't leave us confused he leads us to focus on what he wants to free us from. It's a process, not overnight.

Just like character is NOT just their, it is built over time. If I wouldn't of let God clean me up so I could serve without the bondages & misery that sinning against God caused me, I would have literally never made it.

You've heard God is always on time and never to late. Well if I wouldn't of listened to God and let him lead me, ask him to lead me- I wouldn't made the right choices, I wouldn't been led to be at the right place at the right time. I would of continued to walk in self deception, thinking that I really do not have to live a life that honors God & God would be okay with that.

Not true- this is the enemies will that we don't seek God, that we don't find out how to walk in the power & anointing of God's Holy Spirit, That we never find out why God has us here, or even know what God has gifted us to do. Satan does not want us to find out who we are in Christ. Satan wants us to lead a defeated life, being drug around by the sins that we allow to pull us away from God.

When will you wake up and see that you are not living a life striving to obey God at all costs?

Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly--mere infants in Christ. 1 Cor 3:1

Lukewarm is a very dangerous position to be in- it opens the door to many events, circumstances, and misery that could have been avoided. If we would just stand our ground and say " No I will not walk away from my God- I love God and respect & honor God". Imagine what God could do for you and through you, IF only you would trust God- Know & believe that this is the way that leads to life.

It is time to grow up in God and let him take you further.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Ephesians 4:14

It is time to prove God's faithfulness to yourself by obeying God and the results will be evident. If we have not tested God's word and hold on through thick or thin- how will we ever know and experince God's faithfulness, power to deliver, God's power to strengthen us in times of adversity? If we will not see it through, how will we know his grace is sufficent? Better yet we would have no understanding of what faith to faith means. Faith to faith is trusting God step by step. We have to start somewhere- first place is to trust God with your whole self and know that he will never forsake you- NEVER!

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18

I am serious about following God now- because I have been so challenged by satan to not succeed and overcome sin. Before at the begining I didn't have a clue what was coming up against those who follow Jesus. I wasn't aware of the great darkness that was going to come unto the earth 15 yrs later or the current warfare.

I didn't know that my obedience to God literally will be to the life or the death of me.I can do all things with Jesus- without God I won't get that far and it won't pay off at the end.

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof? Jeremiah 5:31

If I don't obey God, seek God, praise God, I will not overcome the evil in this world and finish the call that God has on my life. No God isn't sitting up in heaven judging us- God's judgement has already been given, when it comes to sin and what it will produce.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4

Satan enters in through our sins against God, to steal, kill & destroy us-the world. It's not about "oh no I can not make another mistake in my life". It is about honoring God, listening to God and taking his lead- so we can walk through the darkness and be lights to a dying world that needs Jesus. No your life is NOT your own, you have seriously been bought with a price. It's about our heart filled with God and a heart that loves and follows God- not deceit.

So therefore, since Jesus gave his all- you too must give your all. This is not a relegion, this is about a real relationship with God. A relationship means you know God, you know what is right or wrong before his eyes, you have an understanding that doing things God's way- does & will pay off at the end and bare good fruits/results in our life. A relationship with God through Christ means that God can talk to us, lead us, we are to know God's spirit, voice and leading. We will not follow a stranger/enemy into deception, destruction, and even seduction without the knowledge of how are actions will affect us and our family.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed (children) may live:Duet 30:19

God has set moral standards for us to live by- and yes we die and destroy ourselves by a lack of trust,respect and honor of God. We destroy ourselves because we just want to play it safe and accept Jesus as our Lord, than we do nothing with this great gift of God.We never let God do a work on the inside of us- so it can be manifested on the outside with fruits. The fruit of having the Spirit of God working through you/us is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

No law Against it?

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2

Acceptance of Jesus as your Lord for the forgiveness of your sins, freeing you from death and separation from God. Now having direct connection to God in Jesus name- we can talk to God and be heard because the sin/veil has been removed. Now able to ask and receive God's Holy Spirit in Jesus name, Matt 3:11.

Following God the results/fruits are good right? Yes they are.

Following sin the desires of the flesh God's word says this is it manifested-

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.Galatians 5:17-21

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:1John 2:1.

No more I feel this, or I feel like that- What does God say?

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

You are either going to follow God and trust him- do as he has required to have fellowship with you. Or you can walk in denial and not see or even have any evidence in your life that you know God, or have even been saved by Jesus. Why am I so in your face about this? Because you have a choice to make- see this through and obey God- no matter the pain or how hard it feels.

You can not walk on the fence or even keep jumping back and forth without it hurting you therefore causing weakness because of instability- lukewarm.

⁶But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

⁷For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. James 1:6-7

You can not continue to let satan have legal rights through your unconfessed, continuesously fed sins. There has to come a point where you realize this is not the way to have God bless your life.You must be willing to sacrifice some stuff in exchange for God's call on you, plan for you, and His blessings.

Once I had a stranger say this to me " I am believing with you that you will remain a Christian and the only thing that would sustain you is the word of God"

I did not know this man, but he spoke the right words at the perfect time- I was wanting to run away from God because it was just to hard and plus I kept messing up. I knew in my heart to stay with God, he had done so much for me and had intervened into my life- making his love and power evident, real and undeniable to me.

I did fall away but it was God's love that brought me back- his continual chasing me.I learned his word and put it in my heart, so I would not sin against God.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee Psalms 119:11

I got better and stronger because I went back to God, learned what his word said and meant,& I went through the pain of separation from sinful patterns- I'd imagine you can call it withdrawl symptoms because I wouldn't do what I was really really wanting to do because it is sin against God and it opens doors to trouble in my life- seriously doing wrong helps create chaos and it hurt, I cried, I gave these troubles,torments, pain and sins to God- so he could restore me and cause me to truly live in him.

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 1 Peter 4:1

But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

He is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.James 1:6&8

I no longer had/ or have to say yes to the stuff that makes me miserable, no longer do I have to keep reaping bad consequences from bad choices. I could go to God and he would and does strengthen me. Sin is a set up anyways and sin hates God. It says that God is not enough. It tells God that we are taking his mercy for granted -and do not care to honor him or have his blessings and life in him.

And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. Luke 22:40-42&46

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.Hebrews 7:25
