   Do you think the Bible is a Book that pertains to the past, to the present or to the future?
   
   The Bible speaks of several prophecies. Do these prophecies already happened or are just about to happen?

   none of the above. the bible is a book written a long time ago, revised many times but it is not based on fact . it's a book, plain and simple.

   The Bible deals with all of the above. It is a book written a long time ago, by 40 men, but they wrote God’s thoughts not their own. Scripture is called prophecy or history in advance that never springs from private interpretation, or men’s will.  These men spoke from God as they were born along by holy spirit.
   (2 Peter 1:20-21)
   
   The Bible has been translated into 2,00 languages.  There’s a big difference between revised and translated.  It needs to be translated so that people can read about the facts revealed in the Bible that have been proven by science, archaeology, and seeing prophecies fulfilled.  Lets deal with the past: 
   
   For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4)
   
   Next the present:  People back then wanted to know the future, that is now our present.  Notice Jesus’ answer when approached by his disciples for information about the future: 
   
        “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”
   
   His answer involved our present, and we are seeing the things he gave in answer.  (Matthew 24:3-14)
   
   Future:  A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place.  The book of revelation deals with all thee, past, present, and future, in fact it stretches more than 1,00 years into the future.  www.jw.org

   The answer is all three: the Bible has prophecies that have already happened (Israel becoming a country again), prophecies that are happening currently (wars, rumors of wars, natural disasters, etc), and prophesies that have yet to happen (the Second Coming, the Seven Year Feast, Armageddon, the Great White Throne Judgement).  The Bible records the past, bears commandments for our present, and warns us of the future as well.  This is a book that never changes, and yet the more you read it the more you see things you never saw before.  It is not something to ever be taken lightly.

   The Bible in itself pertains to the past, present, and future because it pertains to all people. Everyone who has lived or is yet to live, God's Word is for them.
   
   Some prophecies, such as the ones concerning the Messiah, have already happened. Some prophecies, such as the ones concerning end times, have not happened yet. It takes discernment to know which is which. Discernment is a gift from God. Pray about it, and if you are one of His children and He wants you to know, He'll tell you in one way or another.
