According to the Word of God, "Man should pray without ceasing."  This means that believers in Jesus Christ should maintain prayerful heart at all times.  Communion with God should eventually become 24/7.  It takes time to build that type of relationship with Him.  Nevertheless that is what He is after.  Be Blessed!

    Hi elvit,

there is so set amount of time that is required to pray, this is up to an individual and their relationship with the Lord.

Of course the more you pray is the more you keep spiritually in tune with God and your relationship with him will grow, so pray as often as you are led to.

The main thing is - Pray.  Prayer should be our default.  When we rise; a quiet moment and before we go to sleep.  Prayer is communion with God.  The bible says also in Matthew to "Pray in Secret and the Father will Reward you openly".  Go into they secret closet, not to be seen of men when you pray, and let God exalt you in due season.
Oh, I love this question, it is rising up in me.
Let's pray now, Dear God, in heaven, let the writers and readers of the page be blessed beyond measure.  Let their homes be blessed and filled with your love and Peace.  And let all Hubbers reach their goals and dreams this year - in Jesus' name I pray, Amen!!

We should always have an attitude of prayer. We should never worry about how many times a day to pray. If our prayers are limited to a certain number a day, then we are not truly praying. Prayer is a privilege, and how blessed we are to be able to communicate with the Creator of the universe! The more we come to know Him, the deeper our relationship with Him will be, and there will be no question as to whether or not we should pray or how often we should pray. We will pray because we have to and it will be as natural as breathing. The beauty of prayer is that God is always there to hear and answer every prayer we pray. The Bible reminds us that God never slumbers or sleeps, so we can talk to Him in prayer any time day or night. Prayer is power. It should be our priority.

Prayer is not a ritual. Regular prayers are meant to remind you how you are connected to the God (or higher forces, if you are a so called atheist). Words you recite are less important than the feelings you generate while praying. A simple prayer can be simply trying generate goodwill and compassion for all - and you don't have to believe in god for that..

Prayer is a way to keep the mind away from its usual negative habitual tendencies, so pray as often you want to or need to.

Prayer is the time we dedicate to God, in thought, in action, even when we simply listen for Him. It is communion, like rain vanishing in a lake. It is at times from effort and at times effortless. It is our life meeting His life in what we see, in what we hear, in what we touch, in what we smell and in what we taste. It is any one of our senses, revealing that what we sense, is attributed to Him and therefore, our prayer is unceasing!

If someone believes they need to pray, then they should pray whenever they feel it necessary to do so. Not a bad answer from a non believer!

As for me I know of no number of times a day one should pray. I pray often throughout the day, in the morning, afternoon and evening. It may only be a quick prayer of thanksgiving, or to ask God His Will for me next, but as i see it a prayer is a prayer. Sometimes I pray to God just to say Hello, and ask how His day is going and whether He is busy or not.

we should pray as many times as we feel we need to. i think prayer should be from the heart not just some daily  routine. however what we should do daily is to thank for all the little miracles and beauty around us.
