Till the people of doubt- the atheists agnostics skeptics quote the verse, the most violent one in Quran, with the verses in the context; I will quote some complete short chapters from Quran.
Our friends here may find and highlight the violence, if any, in them.
Please see the next post
[109:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[109:2] Say, ‘O ye disbelievers!
[109:3] ‘I worship not that which you worship;
[109:4] ‘Nor worship you what I worship.
[109:5] ‘And I am not going to worship that which you worship;
[109:6] ‘Nor will you worship what I worship.
[109:7] ‘For you your religion, and for me my religion.’

I find the verses of this short but full chapter very refreshing.
1. The verse [109:3-4] expresses the religion Muhammad truly professed without any fear; and from any modern standards it is peaceful. One may refer to Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the UN, if one may like.
2. The non-believers are allowed to worship whatever they want to; no harm is intended to them; they are as free as a bird.
3. The verse [109:7] allows freedom of choice of a religion. The believers and non-believers can co-exist peacefully in a town/city/country.
I find the verses very rational and peaceful; there is no violence there.
Am I right?
Please find violence in the chapter quoted here in full from Quran:
[112:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[112:2] Say, ‘He is Allah, the One;
[112:3] ‘Allah, the Independent and Besought of all.
[112:4] ‘He begets not, nor is He begotten;
[112:5] ‘And there is none like unto Him.’

Does Islam contain some doctrines that make it mandatory for all Muslims to kill/destroy/annihilate followers of other religions/atheists/agnostics? Some say it does. Some others say it was not originally in the text but had been stealthily inserted later by religious fanatics.

Generally, Christians and Jews seem to regard Muslims as too out of the ordinary yet, they seem more God-fearing. Among other things, they seem more thankful to "Allah" by praying morning and evening, and value modesty.

Do you believe Islam is a violent religion?

There was a subject discussing Jesus as being the Son of God. I thought sharing the other great religion's basics is a good thing. In general, matters of spirituality are more like matters of love. The subject is usually the last one to know that their lover is not being faithful. That...
