    If that is correcty,  how can it be a world series?

    It's a misnomer.  The general American public weren't aware that baseball had taken off in other countries, like Japan and Cuba.  Originally a Championship Series, the powers that be were probably influenced by someone that hinted World Series had a better ring to it.

    So, even though it's called the World Series, it's really the USA-Canada Series.  Hopefully, and this would be reliant on travel technology advances, it will be a true World Series someday.

    Well, the Blue Jays are from Canada, but the reality is Major League Baseball is the highest level of baseball being played in the world right now. The players for each team do not generally come from that particular city or even that state, they are from everywhere. When a great player develops in Japan or the Dominican Republic, they almost always make their way to the United States to play baseball at the MLB level.

    I see that someone has marked you down Jason, can't see why, there is really no right or wrong answer, I wes just looking for info.
