Although there are opinions and then there more opinions, it could measured on which is the best conference.  Whether by the number of teams from each conference in the top 25 of the polls, or by other means.  I would suggest the best NCAA football conference would go the conference with the most championships.  Although this could also be debateable because there are are different polls that decide which school wins the  national title.

Well, I myself am an SEC fan all the way and of course they could be noted as one of the best, if not the best, conferences in the nation, and have been for some time. However, I do not want to downgrade conferences such as the PAC 10, Big 10, WAC, and so forth. They have many great teams in them that have a chance at the national title every year and have beat SEC teams out of the race almost ever year since the beginning of football. My own personal opinion is that the SEC is the best (Roll Tide!!), but what I'm getting at is that there are other conferences that have, and always will, give the SEC a run for their money. The SEC has always had the strongest defenses in the nation, a key important factor in a football team, but sometimes our offenses have been "lacking" to say the least and I've seen many other conferences with better offenses (including the Sunbelt). Conference hype and talk changes from year to year, but the SEC is always in the discussions. So my vote goes to the SEC, but that's just an opinion, no one can say indubitably who the best Conference is, just state the facts and people will judge for themselves. RTR!

SEC.  Look at the record.  It is hard to argue with the record that the SEC has. Someone from the SEC always seems to be in the running.  This is just my opinion...I know this is a heated topic on many talk shows. RTR
