Hi, Sannyasinman. Nice to share opinions with you once again.
I noticed that your conspiracy article on GlobalResearch.ca generously quotes unsupported claims it attributes to infowars.com:
“He [Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt] and Bilderberg members share a common agenda. In part, it reflects a ‘collectivist, permanently networked world (without) individuality and privacy.’ …Bilderberg’s grand design is one-world government comprised of rulers and serfs. It wants total unchallenged global control.” Your article makes these claims. Sannyasinman, without displaying any literary conscience. It is my opinion that only a gullible fool would lend credibility to such absurd rhetoric without some hint, even a small amount, of justification or evidence. But, then again, what do I know, right?
Its main target today is the Bilderberg Group about which it says, “Once annually they meet face-to-face. They plot strategy to exploit the world’s riches. They want them for themselves. They try to keep meeting dates, locations, and issues to be discussed secret.” Readers should note the heavily charged words plot, strategy, exploit, and secret that are designed to convey a sinister intent in lieu of any hard evidence.
Therefore, allow me to borrow from the public record to address the claims made about secrecy:
“In short, Bilderberg is a small, flexible, informal and off-the-record international forum in which different viewpoints can be expressed and mutual understanding enhanced. Bilderberg's only activity is its annual Conference. At the meetings, no resolutions are proposed, no votes taken, and no policy statements issued. Since 1954, fifty-nine conferences have been held. For each meeting, the names of the participants as well as the agenda are made Public and available to the press.” {1}
Who is behind the Bilderberg group?
“Bilderberg is governed by a Steering Committee which designates a Chairman; members are elected for a term of four years and can be re-elected. There are no other members of the Bilderberg conference. The Chair's main responsibilities are to chair the Steering Committee and to prepare with the Steering Committee the conference program, the selection of participants. He also makes suggestions to the Steering Committee regarding its composition. The Executive Secretary reports to the Chairman.”
The names of the current chairman and the entire steering committee is available at...

Answer me these questions
1. Why was the very existence of the Bilderberg group vehemently denied for over 50 years, only being forced out into the open (and a website hurriedly created, after eventual scant media coverage in 2010).
2. Explain this quote from David Rockerfeller
"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years........It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries." - David Rockefeller in Baden-Baden, Germany 1991, thanking major media for keeping secret for decades the Bilderberg meetings and the movement towards a One World Government.
3. If it is as transparent and innocent as you think. please provide a list of attendees for the 2013 meeting to be held in a few weeks time.
4, Why does their website only mention meetings after 2010, or the fact that they have been meeting in TOTAL SECRECY for over 50 years? Do you really think these are a group of kindly old gentleman discussing charitable works and their golf handicaps over a cosy fireside chat?
I do not know and I suspect that you do not know either. Unanswered questions ARE NOT proof of a conspiracy!
This quote is only attributed to David Rockefeller on conspiracy web sites. While these may be his words, they were not written down anywhere. Some claim a Swedish journalist recorded them. However, I find only anecdotes and no evidence to support this theory. More appropriate, perhaps, is Mr. Rockefeller’s “If that's the charge, I stand guilty” quote from his 2002 autobiography "Memoirs." This, at least, is a published fact. As a reply to claims proffered by the media, far-left and -right academics, and many conspiracy theorists, he mentions inordinate influence, a secret cabal, and conspiring, not as reality, but as the notions harbored by others. What he claims to be real is his vision “to build a more integrated global political and economic structure — one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." {1} This, I believe, makes him a global visionary and not a 20th century Darth Vader descending to the dark side.Now I have to repeat my self…
“No one knows who will be in attendance until they actually show up at the conference! A list of all attendees is published each year after the event.” {2}
You are mistaken. The web site list conferences and topics of discussion going back to 1954! {3} Lists of attendees currently go back to 2010. Once again, you rely on questions without answers as arguments to prove conspiracy. I still look forward to seeing some substantial evidence that justifies the fear and hostility in the OP statement. Not all dark corners conceal a boogieman. Nor does transparency preclude the existence of secrets.

The official Bilderberg website was created in 2010 after an article appeared in the UK national press, exposing their furtive activities. They could deny their existence no longer, thus the website and other "official" info, which creates a veneer of respectability and innocence.
For many, many years, they denied the very existence of the secret Bilderberg Group, and anyone who even suggested they existed was instantly labelled a "loony conspiracy theorist", and ridiculed. Ring any bells?
It was only thanks to the dogged persistence of journalists such as Daniel Estulin, and Jim Tucker (recently deceased) who practically made it their lifes work to expose Bilderberg, that we know anything about them today. With the help of insiders, Tucker managed to obtain details of location, and attendees BEFORE the event. Attendees when questioned, usually denied that they even attended, and any "official" list of attendees and subjects discussed is usually incomplete.. attendances by Clinton and Obama for example do not appear on the list. Attendees are also sworn to absolutre secrecy as to who attends and what is "discussed".
Compare all of this to the Annual Davos conference in Switzerland, ostensibly similar in nature, but where there is transparency, the press are invited, and participants openly announce their participation, as there is no secrecy. Do you see the difference?
What is Bilderberg really about? The website below puts it rather well.

Plus,of course this quote from David Rockerfeller, where he talks of his "plan for the world" governed by an "intellectual elite and world bankers".
The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."
- David Rockefeller in Baden-Baden, Germany 1991, thanking major media for keeping secret for decades the Bilderberg meetings and the movement towards a One World Government.
Surely even the most steadfastly blind and dormant amongst us can see that our world is controlled more and more by bankers and banking concerns than by what the real people of the world want and need?
Yep.
It's mysterious.
And I don't understand a legitimate purpose for it.
