I've been wondering the same thing for myself. I've pretty much decided on something in hebrew that would be ironic and consistent about myself. I would suggest that you go with something that has been consistent about you all your life that way you know one day it won't become not true.

    anything you want...in invisible ink.

I would say **Don't Do It!** but not because I'm a prude - just picture yourself as an 80-year-old, in the nursing home or at home, visiting with grandkids...

"Um, what does that chinese character mean on your neck?  And, what were you thinking?"

Make things easier on yourself and get a Henna Tattoo - but a permanent mark on your neck?  I think you'll regret it.

I have a tattoo of my wife's name, with some tribal, but it's on my upper tricep, not showing it off much.  At least it can be hidden if need be.

Job interviews and the like are not exactly easy after a neck tattoo...just sayin'.

I would not advise getting a tattoo on your neck. You never know where life may take you, and presentation is everything in certain career. So, I would rethink getting it in a place as visible as the neck.

How about, a snake wrapping itself around your neck and getting ready to bite your jugular or a Oscar the grouch giving the finger?

I would go for your area code or something like that in graffiti style font.  How about a barcode?

If you do not even know what to get as a tattoo, maybe you should not get one to begin with. Read my hub about tattoos
