How long do you last on sites that have can I help you pop ups?
If I land on a site, when just browsing the Internet, a pop up that asks if it can help me and invites me to chat certainly annoys me - more so if I can't navigate anywhere on the site except out or chat, unless I click the remove pop up button - and less annoying if the pop up fades off to a smaller point somewhere, and I don't have to do anything to continue browsing the site. Generally, if I encounter the type of pop up that has to be clicked out the way before I can navigate to the rest of the site, I'm more often than not immediately outta there, looking for another site. And you?
Yeah I hear you Teresa.
For me it really depends. Sometimes I find them annoying, especially when it's not clear how to get rid of them. However, at other times they can be really handy. At times they can be the easiest and quickest way to find out the answer you were looking for on the site.
I have to say the more annoying thing is those pop ups that block the page behind. For instance the "join our Facebook fanpage" or other content locking scripts. The ones that are especially annoying are the ones that won't let you click off them until you've done the thing they demand.
Not long. I leave as soon as I can find the button that closes the page. To me it is an indication of either desperation or "hard-sell" tactics heading my way.

Is anyone else as sick of these CloudFare "I am not a robot" pop-ups as I am? CloudFare is almost as annoying as Dell laptop touch pads than can't be disabled when using a mouse. They turn laptops into typo factories.

The small right hand corner pop up is very annoying. It is a video pop up about 4 inches by four inches. I have even had a friend who reads my Hubs ask and complain about it. Pop ups are very annoying to people. They do not like them. I have Firefox set to block all pop ups and it still pops up and...

Hi everyone,Since Google's updates these past couple of months, I've noticed a significant traffic drop (about 20%). Every time I gain some traction and hope, it's a case of going back two steps again. I'm sure I'm not alone! I thought it might be a good idea to start a healthy discussion here to...
