Why does google search pull up my entire hub profile instead of an article I'm searching for?

Curious as to why, when I google an article of mine, (google can't find it) and I then add the word hub, google finds my hub profile (and all of my hubs) as opposed to pulling up the specific article.  Any insights??

Probably because Google either hasn't indexed your hubs, or your hubs aren't ranking well, yet. Since you've only been on hubpages a little more than a week, I would suspect it is a combination of both.

Consider submitting the URL's of your hubs to Google and other search engines, and also consider submitting a sitemap of your hubs to Google once you have 10 hubs. Here is a very easy to follow hub about submitting your sitemap to Google

Submitting your hub URL's to Google, and eventually submitting a sitemap will greatly improve the speed at witch Google will index your hubs.

As far as ranking your hubs in search results, that will take some time and whatever effort you wish to put into it.

Bottom line, give Google some time to find your hubs, they are relatively new.

I really appreciate the time you took to answer.  I am constantly reading and learning how to master this system!  Keywords, traffic, backlinks... It's a whole world! Thanks again. I will follow the links you suggested!

If you put in the name of article, your user name and hubpages, your article should come up if it is indexed. I have been waiting two weeks for an article to show up. I pinged it. It shows up on the first page of yahoo but nowhere else. It does get frustrating. If you put in your user name and hubpages, it will bring up all your articles. Good luck.

Have you tried using the keywords of the hub title you are looking for followed by your user name. This may bring up the hub or article you are looking for.
