My name is Hailey-Who am I...?
I am many things. I am a mother, a teacher, a student, a believer of God.
I am a caregiver, an investor, a friend and a survivor of my circumstances.
Who am I...?
I'm many things-What do I like most about me?
I enjoy giving back.
When I see someone smile, have a glimmer of hope, a changed outlook,
it fills me with a sense of gratitude.
Joy-knowing I'm giving back to others
what has been givin to me.
That is who I am.
This is who I was before my son died. Now-I'm the same person in a trapped body of grief looking for my "New Beginning" of life. With me along this jouney are my two boys and my two grandchildren that live with us full time. One day soon, I hope, We will find that "New Beginning" with a new sense of life.
Dec 31, 2010. Who am I now? I am the same person I was two years ago, I am the same person who lost my son to a senseless act. I am a surviver, I am victories in Christ who strengthens me everyday, who gives me peace and a hope. I am-ME.
March 16, 2011. I am BACK!! My joy has returned! I have found my "New Beginning". I am filled with greater hope knowing that all is well and that I have a bright future ahead. The Lord is good and has healed my inner broken hurt. I am Excited for the next chapter of my life. My son, Steven, is and will always be a huge part of my live and I look forward to the day I have my first dance with him in Heaven :)
August 4, 2017. My heart still hearts for my son for I have come to know that a mother's dying heart never fully recovers. I have come to realize that my children alive fullfill my heart with love and laughter. I have come to realize that my joy is what I make of it. I have come to realize that I am and will always "Be" who I am in all circumstances. I have come to realize that my life will continue to have new beginnings each morning and that my journey is what I make it.
