Product Capsule Policy Change

Product Hubs and the QAP

Happy Wednesday, friends! I have a very important announcement this week. One of our major goals for 2015 is to continue to improve the overall quality of the site and to get more aggressive with spam removal. To that end, we are tightening up the requirements for Amazon and eBay product placement on HubPages. It will now be much more difficult for Hubs with excessive and/or unrelated products to stay Featured.

At this point we have definitive evidence that readers consider products spammy; fewer words per product in a Hub can be directly correlated with a decrease in reader satisfaction.

We know that most Hubbers want to do right by their readers, which is why we've put together a list of examples of OK vs. spammy product Hubs in the latest Blog post. I highly recommend giving it a careful read if you're interested in making Amazon and eBay commissions on HubPages.
