Editor's Choice Hubs to Get More Promotion

New Benefits of the EC Program

I have some very exciting news today! I'm pleased to announce that in order to reward great quality content on HubPages, we are adding several new benefits to the Editor's Choice Program. Here's a summary of the changes you can expect to see:

  • Editor’s Choice Hubs will now display an EC banner label over their thumbnail image Related Hubs, Topic Pages, and Profiles.
  • Hubs of the Day will now be selected exclusively from the corpus of EC Hubs (Starting Friday, January 30th).
  • The best EC Hub of the previous week will now be highlighted in the Weekly Newsletter.
  • EC Hubs will now have preference among Hubs shared on the HubPages Facebook Page and Tweeted on the HubPages Twitter Account.
  • For the next year, a random EC Hub will receive a bonus of $50 each month to reward the author’s commitment to quality (Hubbers must be enrolled in the HubPages Earnings Program to receive their winnings).

When we hear of the Druids we tend to think of the phantom figures portrayed by myth and legend; the cloaked ascetics presiding over rituals of human sacrifice and other occult ordinances. Rising Star Program to be Retired

Just another quick announcement: the Rising Star Program is being retired. We hoped the program would encourage promising new writers to keep up the great work, but we decided that it simply did not benefit enough Hubbers to be worth maintaining. If you've won a Rising Star in the past, don't worry. You'll get to keep your accolade; you earned it fair and square! We simply won't be holding any new contests. The Hubbers listed below are the final round of winners.

You can read more about the program's retirement in today's Blog post:
