November 14, 2018. INTRO, & PRO TIPS

Hey-o! Happy Wednesday!

Here's what we have in store for you this week:

For All Our Healing Doves…

We are excited to introduce the newest addition to the HubPages family, “HealthProAdvice.com.” This network site is a way for the HealDove community to share and promote health with the most relevant, high-quality information available. Curated to contain articles written and/or reviewed by real medical professionals, this site will become a valuable resource that will also *hopefully* result in higher, more sustainable traffic.

With making Google happy being a big part of the motivation, we will also be launching two other new sites that branch off of HealDove, with a goal of aligning more closely with the Google search rater recommendations on YMYL content. “PatientsLounge.com” will be for patient experiences with medical conditions, otherwise known as “everyday expertise.” Finally, the name “HealDove” will be retired when “YouMeMindBody.com” launches to take its place.

Look forward to wellness and improve your overall well-being with these great new features!

There's Some New Ink on TatRing

Another exciting announcement we have for you is that TatRing is the next site to receive our brand-new disclaimer feature. This will differ slightly from the PetHelpful disclaimer, as it will be category-specific to cover as much YMYL content as possible and exclude benign content.

This disclaimer will only be visible to signed-in users until the official release date next Wednesday, November 21st, and can be individually disabled in the HubTool. This is a general disclaimer, meant to encompass the variety of topics on TatRing -- we know that not all topics are YMYL, and so not every article will need such a feature. Therefore, alongside authors, editors will have the ability to turn them off accordingly over time.

An example of said disclaimer can be seen below:

“This content is accurate and true to the best of the author’s knowledge and is not meant to substitute for formal and individualized advice from a qualified professional.”

And Lastly...GO VOTE

Today is the last day to vote for the annual Hubbie Awards. Polls close at 12 a.m. (PST), so show your support for your fellow users!

Pro Tips

Want To Guarantee Your Participation in Our Next Contest?

Here is some valuable info...

- Contest participants can make money two ways (although the way winners and prizes are given out can vary from contest to contest): through a random daily drawing, and by having an entry selected as a finalist by contest judges.

- In order to get paid for a contest, you need to be enrolled and in good standings with the HubPages Earnings Program. If you win a contest but have not joined the HubPages Earnings Program, you will get an email reminding you to sign up.

-HubPages contests last between two and four weeks depending on the type of contest. HubPages contests usually occur once a year or so, but we have some great social media related contests/giveaways in the works, so keep checking our Instagram and Twitter feeds!
