I have been buying and hatching Leaf insect eggs for some time now, but have not been successful in rearing any of them. The longest any of them have survived is 2 weeks. I have fed them on Bramble leaves that have been washed and torn - but with no long term success. (I have also tried them on oak leaves - but still no success) I have bought some young Leaf insect nymphs who have been happily surviving for the past 3 months, so I am assuming that I have got the conditions right for them. Please can anyone give me any suggestions as to how to get my newly hatched nymphs to eat? Thanks.
