Touch wood that you will be there for a long time!  If you are thinking of living in the zoo... you should consider this.
Firstly; If you get eaten... you won't be there for long!
And.....  As a zoo keeper you will have to wade through animal dung throughout your working hours!  Why would you want to take that aspect home with you as well during your free time?
Start as you mean to carry on..... Don't live in the zoo.... get a place near the zoo, so you can step out of the very demanding environment every now and then .... if only to shake off your boots!  Good Luck.

The decision has much to do with your priorities.  For example, if your life is your work as a zoo keeper, then the quality of the zoo may be a higher priority than where it is.  If your social life takes precedence over the work then the poles are reversed. If you want a great zoo, look at San Diego as somewhat of a win/win.  It's a great zoo and a great town. The down side is that if you live outside of California now, moving there may drastically raise your cost of living.  A fallback might be to you at a less expensive option...Fort Worth TX has a really great zoo and it is a good town and not too expensive to live in.  Hope this helps. Thanks. WB
