You use sugar cubes as a reward with a horse ... it is only a treat... a little bit like rewarding children with a sweet, who learn how to spell basic words... do-es that help?

Sugar is a well known as an energy source (if taken)  directly from its origin's source, this source {or more apropo} (this energy)!!!  And as it is being created; by nature, it IS the most potent power source as it affects the pineal gland (located in the center of the brain)sort of like a hub here  stimulating the pineal gland and its primary function (because it is connected to our central nervous system)  which in turn are both inter- twined
    (PI-KNEE-UHL)

and feeding our dna structure in which therein allows or commands   "IT"s"  structural integrity to become weakened thereby allowing manipulation of our DNA structure as to allow re-programing this "PC" what we " We" call a brain! This...... is a prelude to the nearing of........  ascention!!!

As far as horses go, sugar cubes are simply a reward that they really enjoy. However, it is important to give them only once in a great while as they can rot the horse's teeth out, which is why most horse owners prefer other sweets such as apple slices.

It's basically candy for horses. It helps them to start trusting you and feel like it is a reward just being calm and around you.

Sugar cubes don't help horses.  It's just a treat.  Sugar isn't good for horses, so I don't advise giving it to your horse.  I would give carrots and apples instead.
