    So they get that yummy bit at the end thats very sweet. That's if you mean using it in their tea/coffee. Also, I know of people who bite on the cube as their drinking their tea, like a sweet.

    I think its because you can pick them up with your fingers unlike granulated sugar.

    Cubes also offer a quick unit of measure. I find it much easier to add a consistent amount of sugar to my hot drinks with cubes.

    I know you've seen those cartoons with the " one lump or two" line. Generally cubed sugar is used out doors at tea. It is premeasured, it is easier to transport and can't be spilled or blown away by the wind.

    Sugar cubes are easier to use, offer a more accurate measurement and are easier to transport when you are traveling in the car.  We we go on a road trip we use sugar cubes because they are harder to spill.
