mated? That was a few weeks ago, my female is now kicking sand everywhere, digging in her cave and by her other hiding spots.
Did you see them mate? It is possible that they mated, but sometimes it takes more than 40 minutes for them to get interested, yet sometimes it's instant.
I'd watch out for the sand in general, as it can cause impaction.
As for her laying eggs, all you can do is watch out. If she's gravid, you should be able to see the eggs in her belly.
