Sorry to be so ruthless but surely the question of being able to afford vetinary bills should be considered before even getting the pet in the first place .Part of being a responsible pet owner is to make sure they have adequate care .
Unlike the one who is ruthless. some of us who take strays in do not think of the finanial obligations above the help that we can give to the animals. Call around and see if you can get a FREE consultation. See if there is a Holistic Health Vet in your area. Thereis a hubber on here that can give lots of information ut to you and her name is Alexandry. Look her up and see all the wonderful hubs she has.
PS I would never turn an animal away because I could not afford Vet Bills especially if it came to me and was a stray. Vets are getting to be like human Doctor's Money, Money, Money! That is why we have a stray problem! Sorry off my soapbox now.
