HELP! How do I stop my big dog from trying to eat my small dogs???
My lab mix attacks cats and smaller dogs. We have the lab (a stray who just showed up here two years ago), a corgi mix, and seven chihuahua mixes. The lab is fine with the corgi mix, but wants to eat the little ones. She was fine with one of the chihuahua mixes for a year, but attacked her one day while they were chasing a cat (we thought she got confused and thought Bitty was the cat - they're the same color). Now she keeps trying to attack the smaller dogs and it's making life VERY difficult. Can't find a home for the lab because this is hunting country and she's gun-shy. Any suggestio
I suggest a muzzle however you would have to remember to give her food and water. Either that or get a cage, or attempt to give the dog to the shelter. You have plenty of options.
