What are some really good games to build trust between you and a new pet parrot?
Thanks for the question! The sky's the limit when it comes to entertaining, trust building games. One of my favorites is the call and return, make contact with your bird directly, then leave the room. Using a call word like "hello" or ,any appropriate word that discourages screaming, call out to your bird. Do this until it makes a noise of it's own. Mimic his noise, and soon you'll have a fun back and forth copy cat game going! My birds also love peek a boo. Anything you do that shows your enthusiastic will get your bird on board and show him that together you have positive interactions! Take note of his body language. Ruffling of the chest feathers or tail wagging indicate a good time! As always keep it fresh, fun, and exciting! A good hea scratch goes a long way too! Thanks again!
