The one that is labeled for puppies. It has certain nutritional elements that a puppy needs to grow.
Hi,
Not too sure if being a puppy or not makes any difference, but the first thing you should make sure of with any dog food is that the first ingredient is actually some sort of meat and not corn or something else.
All of the higher quality brands have real meat in it and those are much more natural.
Science Diet is supposed to be the best but its like twice the price of other food, so personally I use Purina One because it's still all natural but at a lower price.
Hope that helped!
Choose a food labeled for puppies or all life stages that has real meat as the first 2-3 ingredients. No by products or animal fats. Purina does not have high quality meats and is generally known as a lower quality pet food. I highly suggest brands like Taste of the Wild, Orijen, Blue Buffalo, or Canidae. They may be like 5 dollars more per bag but it is totally worth it knowing you are feeding your dog products that don't gross you out. It also saves a ton of money in vet bills when your dog gets skin issues, allergies, or dietary problems. Science Diet is also full of fillers like corn and soy. Healthy food may sometimes be a bit more expensive, but would you rather be paying for healthy meats like chicken and duck than corn, soy, and cellulose (wood)?

Just curious what brands folks are feeding thier dogs and why? Have you done much research on what is good for your dog? Do you give much preference to brand based on your dog's breed?

What do you feed your dog?The healthiest choice for pets is a diet of real food. Despite that, most people continue to buy dry food with few vitamins but lots of dyes and preservatives. What do you think the best thing for your dog is, or do you just buy whatever is convenient?
