You can use it to mulch your garden. There is a company that will make it into yarn for you to use, but they charge something like $7 an ounce. Leave it outside and the birds like it to make nests in the spring. It's fun to watch them pick it up with their beaks and move it.

To the Druids, dogs were held in high esteem. In life they were loyal companions, protectors and warriors. In death, dogs were a connection with the Otherworld. When a person died, dogs were the protectors and guided them to the Otherworld and afterlife. So, take some shedded hair from your pet, put it into a vile or baggie and carry it with you for good luck.

You can take the hair and knit a scarf. Someone I know did it with theirs.

I always brush it up and put it outside for the birds - and have found several local birds nests lined with it!

I have heard of people making afghans with it. I tried to put some in a bird's nest one time and the birds took it out! I guess they were telling me they prefer to do their own decorating, thank you!
