    How was your experience?

My husband, LOL.  No really, I have swum with a large eel.  We met up by accident in a river, not the ocean, but it was pretty strange.  It wasn't a scary thing, more of a surprise, and I think I surprised him as much as he surprised me.  I stayed in the water to see if I could co-exist peacefully with him in the same space, and after a few minutes everything was OK.

A giant school of bonita in the harbor at Redondo Beach.  Very cool. I would move and the hundreds of fish would respond with flashes of silver from the sunlight.

Eels, stingrays, poisonous snakes. I love the water, but did not care to swim where these creatures were lurking. I do however enjoy swimming among exotic fishes - they are beautiful!

A parrot fish. Not the most unusual species I've swam with, but this particular fish swam up to me until he was about three feet away, then bit at me and darted away. He did this several times before I swam away.
