Do you or a friend make your own pet food and if so what recipe do you use?
My sis has two small corgi/spaniel mixes and she feeds them raw meet. She uses mostly muscle, some organ, very little ground meet. They love it, never have any problems. When they get raw chicken they eat the bones and all. Always raw only with the bones, so they wont splinter. My dogs get raw meet as a treat because they're bigger and thus a raw food diet would be WAY more expensive for me. She doesn't add any fruits or veggies which is unnecessary when feeding whole carcass or something close to whole carcass. The only thing is she has to be careful when letting the dogs inside or the kids play with them because they are eating raw meet which can be hazardous to humans.
Yes, we make our own food for our dog and cat. I'm using recipes from my friend and co-author Cathy Alinovi's cookbook called Dinner PAWsible. Our cat's food allergies have cleared up completely, so I'm saving money by not having to buy the expensive special diet food from the vet:)
