Looking for tips on how to stop your dog from waking up in the middle of the night to go outside?
How old is your dog? male, female spayed/neutered? urine or bowel movements? This should help us better answer your question.
My dog is a 7 year old Chihuahua and he is neutered. He usually gets up to urinate at least once a night!
Get a veterinary exam first to rule out any medical causes for the nocturia. Then talk to a professional reward-based trainer to do a full assessment. You may need to increase your dog's exercise during the day, increase mental stimulation, for example with training, evaluate your dog's dietary habits, try crating your dog at night...these are all just off the top of my head without doing a full behavior assessment.
