We have 3 dogs and one doesn't care about noise - a German shepherd.  She doesn't bat an eye for thunder or fireworks.  The lab and the Leonberger become very uneasy with either fireworks or thunder and tend to gather under my desk at my feet.  They don't shake or anything, just want to be close to "Mom."

I currently have 2 dogs, a Chihuahua and a Great Dane. The Chi doesn't even bat an eye in regards to thunder or fireworks. The smoke alarm beep when your battery is dying is another story! She shakes as she paces back and forth and trys to hide under my feet or by me. The Dane is scared of any loud sound and even rain. She runs and jumps on my bed and trys to get under the covers!

The dogs I've had that were the most afraid were big dogs. I had a german Shepherd that jumped out of the window of a moving car and ran away because of a firecracker. He was missing for 2 weeks.

My Norwegian Elkhound cannot stand loud noises like thunder and fireworks. If he is outside, he wants inside. Then he sits right beside one of us and will not leave our side. You can reach down and touch him and feel him trembling.

My mastiff X is not afraid of thunder. When I first got him, I would walk him during thunder storms to get him used to the noises. It doesn't phase him anymore, usually the same with fireworks. However... He is scared of just about every other darn thing imaginable neutral Kids, the dark, masks, guns... He even gets spooked if you walk up to him with your hands in your pockets and he's never met you before, because he can't see your hands!! What a freak.
