Cinder if male; Cinty for short if female.

Darth Vader might be a little too, um...dark.

    Diamond (as in Black Diamond).

Ebony, Spooky, or Midnight work for either male or female.  Your bunny is SO cute!

I agree with the suggestion for Ebony, and Midnight.  I always liked those names.

I like Coal, Vader, or maybe Brownie because of the eyes.

Onyx, Inky, Dot, Beauty, Bear, Smokey, and Blackberry are a few choices if only considering the color for the name. Rabbits often have names like Hop-a-long, Jumper, Buck, Peter rabbit and Bugs.

These have nothing to do with its color, but I think Thumper and Munchkin are cute names. smile

Black Rabbit of Inlé, named after Watership Down's rabbit version of the angel of death. Perhaps Inlé for short, which is the word for moonlight or darkness in the novel's rabbit language.

Being this is my favorite novel of all time, there are a plethora of other good names in the book that I shall list - Fiver, Pipkin, Blackavar, Thlayli, Blackberry, Dandelion, Hyzenthlay, Buckthorn, Nightshade, Thistle, Groundsel, Vervain, Chervil, Avens, and Rabscuttle.

My sons bunny is white.  He named him Mr. Marshmellow.  I know, not a good name for a black bunny rabbit.  You can read about him here http://www.squidoo.com/pet-rabbit-care-facts  He is a very sweet bunny.

I named my bunny thumper. Its not so much about the color than it is about the personality. He was my very first bunny as a kid and I loved him.

The most appropriate name would unfortunately not be politically correct!

One of my first thoughts was "Ebony", but I think that there are a lot of possibilities. A black rabbit sounds adorable!
