    The Presa Canario is a working dog and was built/bred to do his job, not to lay around the house as a pet. I think if I were interested in one of the "solitude" breeds I would choose a Cane Corso or a Fila Brasiliero, but I am sure there are Presa Canario fans that think my choices totally wrong.
    So what is so special? Every breed has fans out there, even if the dog is not special for everyone.

    I agree with Dr. Mark.  This breed also needs an experienced owner and trainer.  They are not for someone who does not have time or energy to spend hours training the dog.  This breed is not for the first time dog owner - or really even the second time dog owner.  This is for experienced hands only. smile
