What is a reasonable price to pay for a French Bulldog?
I was curious what a reasonable price to pay for a French Bulldog is. I was at a petstore this weekend looking at English Bulldogs and they were asking $3800 however I go online and see reputable breeders not backyard breeders I know b/c they test for hip displacia, cherry eye, etc and they were selling for like $1600. I see prices all over the place for French Bulldogs as well. What's the minimum price do you think to get a well bred healthy French Bulldog?
Prices for purebreds vary greatly across the country and depending on the lines and quality of the pup.
Good for you for knowing NEVER to buy a dog from a petstore. These dogs are purchased from puppy mills where the conditions are deplorable, the genetics are not considered and genetic and other illnesses are common. However, while a reputable breeder will test for genetic conditions like hip dysplasia and cherry eye, testing is not an indicator that a breeder is reputable. There is MUCH, MUCH more involved in being reputable than a few genetic tests.
I recommend you spend hours researching what makes a breeder reputable. There is so much to learn before purchasing a puppy.
And in the end, I would recommend unless you need a purebred pup for a purpose (ie. herding, hunting, etc.), I would strongly recommend you go to a shelter and get a shelter pup instead. There are plenty of bulldog type dogs available in the shelter systems and breed rescue groups. Go out and save a life instead of paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

Just wondering how much you would be willing to pay for your child's art classes - and say the cost included supplies. What reasons might you be willing to pay more? Also, for the amount you say you are willing to pay, how long do you expect each class to be and how many classes? Please be...

Blood in 12 week english bulldog stool12 week old english bulldog, noticed a few drops of blood in stool? Should I rush to a vet? I've only had him for a little over a week now. I slowly switched his puppy food from the kennels to purina puppy chow over aprox. A 4-day span.. would that be the cause?

First, this is not my idea. It was presented by an author on a web-site that concentrates on economics. The proposal is this. Do not attempt to curtail gun ownership rights. Rather levy a federal tax on all fire-arms and ammunition. The tax, much like the gasoline tax, would only affect those with...
