    If a Veteran is in need of service dog should the VA (Veterans Administration) pay for dog?

    Yes. Especially if the need is directly involved with their service to their country. Without a doubt.

    Only if the disability requiring the service animal was caused by their time serving. If they have an unrelated disability it should be their responsibility.

    People on welfare make more money than disabled vets.  The government doesn't give a fig for the vet.  Best to go through Canine Companions and Guide dogs Not sure about Guide Dogs for the Blind, but Canine Companions are provided free of charge for the disabled.
