What causes the top part of a rooster's red cone to turn black in color?
He doesn't appear to be sick, and he's just as fiesty and as mean as can be.
From researching on Google, it sounds like the rooster is having circulatory problems. Are they cold? It could be frostbite. The comb is supposed to have blood flowing through it. The darkness could be a sign of bad blood flow.

Thanks Luke, we will certainly check into that, but the environment is still the same for him, and really nothing has changed for the rooster. It's not affecting any of the chickens either.
