My dog has been prescribed Prednisone at 1/2 pill every two days for the rest of his life.
Does this sound appropriate? I would rather take him off the meds and then re-start if his symptoms reoccur. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Thanks
Why would you trust a random opinion posted on a writing site over the directions of your vet? Especially since you give no indication why the medication was prescribed?
If you don't feel comfortable with your vet's instructions, talk to them about it, or consult another for a second opinion.
Daddy always said not to ask the question if you don't want to hear the answer. The answer, in this case, is that you should discuss this with your vet, or get a second opinion, rather than just guessing about your dog's health care needs.
