My 10 favorite paintings and my different moods
The starting
There wont be long intro's. I'll jump straight to the point. I am not an artist, neither a very good painter. I don't have much training on it. Painting is something I've always loved doing. I liked the huge range of colors and how I could portray my feelings using them. Today I'd share some of my favorites and what I was thinking making them.
1. Come away with me
It was done in, erm...I kinda forgot, probably in year of 2006. I just watched the very famous movie by Demi Moore, "The ghost". The movie moved me to my core. It happens to me that when I watch a very touchy movie, I make up a fantasy world of mine related to that movie and stay in that for a few days. This painting is a part of that imagination of mine, drawn after being inspired by ‘The ghost’.
2. The warrior princess
It was in the year 2002. For some reason I got really hurt by someone very dear. I couldn’t do anything about it. The only thing I kept telling myself was, “You cannot lose hope. You are strong, very strong. Don’t let the frustration grow over you. You are a warrior my dear”. That is what drove me to do this portrait.
3. My favorite jeans :-D
This is my very favorite jeans! :-D And this painting is my next favorite after the portrait. I was 13 and just came to know that there is something called fabric paint and you can color your clothes with it. So I took my paint brush and made a structure of butterfly painting on my jeans and colored it.
Do you wanna know what are things I used?
- Hobby ideas fabric color: Green, white, blue, yellow and red [You can use watercolor if done on paper]
- Paint brush no. 12 [And any other brush size according to your watercolor]
- Little white stones
- My blue jeans
Yes, I also embedded little stones on the wings of the butterfly but the picture isn't very clear :-(
4. The beach pleasure
Here's the beach painting...
It was my first time I've ever been to a beach, and my first ever beach painting. And here in Bangladesh we have Cox's bazar, the longest beach in the whole world (Aren't we lucky?). It was an awesome experience. I am not that good with words.........I can't express my feeling at the first sight of the sea. I started giggling hysterically, who knows why? All I know is, I was so happy!
5. My sleeping sister
Haha, this is Kapu. My sister. Fell asleep one day while studying, and I made her portrait :-D
6. Yellow fairy
I had a friend, who was once very close to me. He had a huge crush on a girl and always addressed her as 'হলুদ পরী' or 'Yellow fairy'. This portrait was dedicated to him.
7. Gabdu (গাবদু)
He's Gabdu (In bengali it means fluffy and hugsy). Isnt he the cutest teddy on earth? ^_^ I got him in 2005. It was pure love at first sight! This painting was done a year later though.
8. Her world
I have no idea what I was thinking while painting her :-( Was I feeling naughty? :-S Ah! Cant remember :-(
9. Trishul (ত্রিশূল)
It was for all my anime lover friends. The graphic designers these days are doing really great making female characters. Lol, they are making dream women for the boys, specially the teens!
10. Nibble
Nibbling in the ear...........the thought of it creates thousands of butterflies in m stomach.
Last but not the least, the nibble. I am specifically vulnerable to this :-( So...........
:-)
Here comes the poll
