These three classifications of art appreciation suggest varying degrees of rigidity.  Objectivism defines art and beauty in relatively concrete terms, suggesting that what is beautiful now will always be beautiful.  Relativism adopts a posture acknowledging art from relative to its origins--culture, time, period, and individuals.  It allows for an understanding of why something was considered important or beautiful in the time it was, without comparisons to other works or eras.  Subjectivism takes the route of "I know what I like," and offers little need to justify aesthetic appreciation in a larger context.  I find objectivism somewhat limiting and subjectivism overly broad.  Relativism is a classification more to my tastes.
