There are all kinds of tutorials out there, you can catch them on 2 peas in a bucket or scrapbooking.com. Most use some sort of photoshop elements and there's also scrapbooking software, it comes down to preference. I like using the paper and tools and only do digi when I have a lot of journaling.
Scrapbookflair.com is where I started. They have a free download of a program that is very beginner friendly. The program comes with templates and embellishments. I personally wouldn't start with tutorials, as they can be confusing to a beginner. I went from Scrapbookflair to The Gimp, which is another free download. I do have some videos at my website if you are interested. Please contact me personally if you need any help.
I am super interested and I'm pretty computer savvy just not with the detail of scrapbooking. I'm going to check out Scrapbookflair right now. But I did download the GIMP program I'm just not familiar with it.
The videos at my site can help you with the basic 123's of the Gimp. If I were you, I would start with the Scrapbookflair software though. If you wanna hop over to my profile and email me, I would be happy to help more. Maybe we could set up a time.
