Have you ever taken pictures professionally before?
If you have, explain what motivates you to be a pro photographer besides the money to earn. (This question goes out to those who have become professional photographers, but intermediates or amateur photographers like myself can also take a stab at it.)
Most photographers are not motivated by the money, it about being creative with the client's brief and hopefully producing work that is memorable.
I spent abut 10 years earning my living as a photographer. (not for the past 2 years) I loved that everyday brought new challenges, that it wasn't sedentary, as I like to move around and interact with different people everyday. I also like to work visually.
I started taking pictures about a year ago. It's a new way to look at things and my style is a little out of the ordinary, so I really enjoy watching people's reactions when they look at my shots.
One of my photos titled "Babies in Milk" was shown on Ovation TV site in their "Art or Not" feature. I like using props, and I am my own best model not just because I work for free but because only I know the feeling I'm trying to express by my photos.
The money would be awesome but the truth is, I make more from selling my paintings and writing. The addiction is the challenge to create something different from something ordinary.

in early days of my broadcasting engg: career,i have to travel long distance to cover news; at that time i started taking pictures of incidents, sceneries, animals and birds etc.I never used these photographed images for making money.
Its once passion and these photos will make us to remember the path we traveled to reach what we are now.
I have taken pictures for a magazine years ago, did weddings for a while, ball team pictures, family photos, etc. I now just photograph what I want to...flowers, sunsets, anything in nature. I do send some to a couple of stock photo agencies, but not too often. I just like taking pictures for my own pleasure anymore. No pressure, I only have to please myself.
Yes I have taken professional as well as wedding pictures under Andi Watson a wedding photographer in Glasgow.

For those of you that are married, how much did you pay for your wedding photographer and what was included in the package. Also, where was the wedding located?

Has anyone at Hubpages ever received a bill for using an Artist's work or a Photographer's Photo on a a hub? And if so, how much? I'm curious, because I've written to artists about twenty five times during my time writing here to ask permission to use a photo, and not one of them ever...
