How to do a color fill in illustrator cs6?
I'm trying to fill a area with color, but I can't do it, don't know what I'm doing wrong, please help.
Select the outline of the shape, and go to the chosen colour blocks in the bottom left hand corner. If your outline is black, one should be black and the other should have a line through it...
This is the fill selection. Click on this box, and then choose your colour of fill from the colour palette, and the shape should be filled with your chosen colour!
Thanks for your answer, I followed your instructions but it's not working for me, either I only change the color of the outline or I change the color around the outline, like a thin line surrounding the outline
reset the settings and try again to reset do this:... Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Illustrator. Your current settings are deleted.
